Queen Street Golden Mile
Entries are now open to the Queen Street Golden Mile, which returns to the heart of Auckland City on Sunday 6 April 2014. In 2014 the Queen Street Golden Mile is being held during the ITU World Triathlon Series festival weekend at Queens Wharf. The Queen Street Golden Mile is open to anyone to enter - all you need to do is select your Mile race, then make history and run your fastest mile down Queen Street! John Walker (NZ) ran it in 3.33.93, Steve Scott (USA) ran it in 3.29.44, and Mike Boit (KEN) still holds the Guinness World Record of the fastest human over the measured mile distance at 3.28.36 down Auckland’s Queen Street! |Corporate Challenge Mile||Corporate teams of 3 runners. The team time will be the total of all 3 runners' mile times.||11.15am||18 years and over|
|Age Group Women's Mile||Open to more serious club runners.||11.20am||18 years and over|

The Start line is at the intersection of Mayoral Drive and Wakefield St. The 1 mile (1.6km) course goes down Mayoral Dr, turns right in to Queen St, then runs straight down on to Queens Wharf. Click here to view the course map.
